“Each of us is so ashamed of his own helplessness and ignorance that he considers it appropriate to communicate only what he thinks others will understand. There are, however, times when somehow we slowly divest ourselves of that shame and begin to speak openly about all the things we do not understand.”—Czeslaw Milosz (via affremblequotes)
So this (I promise this is the last blurb) leads to a (hopefully) brief formulation of who I think would be the one:
Passionate, Creative, Make the social world make sense, Ground me in reality, Full of vitality/zest, Playful, Funny, Able to get inside my head, Be very good with Feelings. Basically a person where we are each other’s pedagogues.
My approach has always been focused on the first one, hoping that the second follows. What I think will give a satisfiable solution is someone who understands me (or can), so number two. I think that will then complete number one. Basically, life’s struggles are more than we can handle utterly alone. These struggles are what really define us, bind us, and make us all equal in the end.
